Online Dating

Online Dating on the Click Singles website is managed by Global Personals. If you have any queries or questions in regard to the online dating please contact them by emailing support@globalpersonals.co.uk or calling them on 01752 271286.

Why should I register?

When you register on our site you are letting us know you are interested in attending the events we offer. If we are not currently listing any events in your area and you are registered with us we will email you as soon as we launch in your area.

Am I still able to attend an event if I do not have access to the internet or an email address?

Yes, Just call the office and give them your full name, address, date of birth and a contact telephone number and you can be registered onto the site by our administration. Should your circumstances change you can advise the office of your email address and your account will be updated.

Is my personal information passed on the any other service provider or individual?

No information about you leaves this office and is never passed on to anyone. If a friend of yours called to say she had lost your number I would call you and ask you to call your friend. Personal information is strictly confidential and only passed on to another person with your permission - such as when you tick them on a Speed Date. No one has access to your details apart from employees of the company and we do not sell any of your information to other interested parties nor do they have access to it.

Why do I need to give you my personal details?

Essentially the company is a private club and although you do not have to be a member to attend our events, we do like to offer our clients the security of knowing certain details of all of the attendees. This is a precaution we have never needed to use but should any of our clients experience any problems with one of the guests we have their details on our system to advise the necessay authorities.

Can I de-register?

You can de-register from our database at any time. If you experience any difficulty doing this then please email your request to de-register to info@clicksingles.co.uk

I am struggling to pay via the PayPal method. What do I do?

If you have been unable to pay via the payments page it is often that you are trying to complete the process too quickly. Give your system a minute or two to register the information. If the process still fails you can call the office 01622 863769 to pay by debit or credit card.

Why do I have to book an event in advance?

Due to the nature of singles events it is important to us to attempt to achieve equal numbers for all of our events. Clients who just turn up or fail to turn up when they have booked throw off the balance of the event, which ultimately can affect the evening for all of the other guests. We also have to pre-order food for many of the larger events such as the Dinner Disco's and although our venues are more than accomodating it could possibly have an impact on the service given to guests.

What are your office hours?

9am to 5pm and we have the facility for you to email us at any time from this website.

Are there any specific requirements to sign up?

You just need to be single and be over 18 years old.

How do I book a ticket to an event?

You are able to view all of our events on our home page. Once you find the event you wish to attend click book now and the system will take you to a booking form so that you can register and pay for the event of your choice. If you do not have the facility to pay by card please call the contact number shown on the relevant events page.

Can I bring a friend?

You are very welcome to come speed dating with friends and many people do. If your friend would like to take part in the event they must register on the site so that we are able to book them in. You can bring friends who do not wish to take part to the start of the evening but it is not normally possible for them to stay after the dating starts.

How should I dress for events?

As a general rule you should attend Speed Dates in smart casual wear and Dinners or Parties in smart attire.

I am not able to make the event can I send a friend in my place?

Yes, provided your friend is the same sex and has registered on our website www.clicksingles.co.uk. Please call us on 01622 863769 so that we can register your friend. If your friend is the opposite sex we may still be able to help you. Please call us to check.

What are Social Nights?

Social nights are very informal. Our hosts are volunteers who are usually members who enjoy meeting new clients. The event will attract anything from as few as eight to as many as 50 guests who just sit and chat. If there are a lot of guests our hosts will move them around and keep the conversation flowing. As with any event your enjoyment depends on the guests who are present.

How do Dinner Parties work?

Dinner Parties are generally tables of eight to ten guests at each table. The numbers vary from as little as 12 to as many as 200. Men are ask to move places after each course generally this will be three different seats during an event. At the larger events the meal is followed by entertainment so the guests are given dance cards and men complete these each time they move. The first six dances are slow and the men find the ladies written on their dance cards. Many ladies and gentlemen come to these events as their initial introduction to a singles event, as they are highly sociable and a great way to meet friends and potential partners.

What happens at Singles Parties?

Singles Parties may just be a disco full of single people or as well as the disco the event will include a range of icebreakers such as the Picture Panel, mini Speed Dating sessions, large fun games, Lock & Key or another surprise icebreaker created by us.

What happens when I arrive at a Speed Dating event?

When you arrive you will see two hosts wearing company name badges. They will sign you in, give you your matching sheet, a name badge and a pen, and then invite you to have a drink at the bar. Once everyone has arrived the host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions. Then the dating begins. Usually women will stay seated while the men rotate every three minutes then the host will announce it is time for the men to move. After each date participants mark on their sheet whether they would like to see that person again.

How many dates will I get at a Speed Dating event?

If you have never been Speed Dating the perfect number to meet is between 12 and 15.

I got few or no matches. How many do people normally get?

The number is very variable for everyone who attends. For a match you both have to tick each other.

If I tick someone as a Date and they tick as a friend, is this a match?

Yes this would constitute a match. Each of you would be sent an email telling you whether they ticked you as a friend or a date. Either way you would be given each others contact details.

How many dates will I get at a Speed Dating event?

You will normally get around twenty dates - sometimes a few more, sometimes a few less. We never run more than thirty dates as speed dating is quite tiring and we guarantee a minimum of eight dates.

Is three minutes per date long enough?

Three minutes can seem like a very long time with someone you don't like. However three minutes is also a minimum. At our smaller events we generally extend the dates to four or five minutes. However in our experience three minutes is long enough to decide whether you're prepared to invest a couple of hours in a follow-up date.

I'm just outside the age range specified for an event. Can I still attend?

Yes, you can. The age ranges specified are guidelines. However if you are, or appear to be, well outside the age range you are extremely unlikely to get matches.

Is it a good idea to prepare a list of questions to ask people?

It's a good idea to have a few questions up your sleeve in case you run out of things to say. However it's a very bad idea to have a scripted list of questions as it kills the spontaneity of a three-minute date.

I didn't get any matches last time. Do you have any tips to improve my chances?

Make sure you're well groomed and stylishly dressed, treat all your dates with respect and be yourself. To obtain advise and learn more about meeting the right person book one of our workshops with Rob and Sharon and Have Fun Finding the One.

Can I move to a different date?

Provided you let us know a minimum of five working days before the event we will move you to another event free of charge or refund you less a £5 per ticket administration charge. Between 1 and 5 working days before an event we will move you to another event for a £10 per ticket administration fee. If you let us know less than 24 hours before an event you can send a friend of the same sex in your place for no additional charge. Just call us on the number shown on the relevant event page. We cannot move you to another event with less than 24 hours notice. If you do not turn up at an event for any reason you do not receive a refund or a transfer to another event. However do please let us know if you are unable to attend, for whatever reason, as imbalanced numbers spoil our events for other people attending.

Can non members attend?

Yes non members can come to as many events as they wish without joining. The prices shown on the front page of the web site are relevant to Non Members if you choose to pay the £35 annual Event Membership you save £5 to £10 for every event you attend.
